Post Views: 3

This Beretta Model 92F is documented as one of two pistols rented from Stembridge Gun Rentals to 20th Century Fox for the filming of Die Hard, where the pistols served as NYPD detective John McClane’s sidearm. This example is documented by serial number and was used on screen by Bruce Willis, including being identifiable during McClane’s fight with Karl.

The Beretta 92F became inseparable from John McClane and one of the defining action films of the 1980s. We examine the history, screen use, documentation, and distinctive features of a Hollywood firearm that helped cement the Beretta 92’s place in popular culture.
