A 7-foot shotgun built nearly 140 years ago sounds impossible — but this Holland & Holland punt gun is very real. Featured by @MeatEaterTV, this massive 2 bore firearm is one of the most unique examples of British sporting gunmaking ever produced.

Punt guns were enormous waterfowl hunting shotguns designed to be mounted on boats and used during the height of 19th-century hunting. This engraved Holland & Holland example preserves the history of a lost tradition and the conservation movement that followed.
