This U.S. Beretta M9 General Officer pistol traces directly to Norman Schwarzkopf — the four-star general who led coalition forces during the Gulf War. Out of hundreds of thousands of M9s produced, only a small fraction were built for general officers, and only one can claim this level of direct battlefield association.
The M9 itself defined an era — serving from 1985 through 2017 and becoming synonymous with modern U.S. military operations. But this example goes further.
