The M1786 French flintlock musketoon was designed for the light cavalry use, especially for the Hussars. The bore is smooth, caliber is 17.1 mm, 0.4 mm smaller than the M1777 musket calibre. The bore is 70.4 cm long, while the total length is 106.5 cm. This particular piece was made in Paris in 1793 or 94.
