Le Page: Parisian Paragon

The Le Page firm in Paris has been one of France’s most celebrated and revered gunsmiths almost since their very founding in 1717.

The luxurious exhibition shotgun shown here was created in 1860 and remains a stunning showcase in all the gunmakers’ arts of engraving, carving, precision, and design. It was later presented in 1879 to Mexican President Don Manuel Gonzalez by M. Paul Jules Grevy, President of France.
