The Colt Single Action of Saddle Bronc Champion Burel Mulkey

Burel Mulkey was one of the best saddle bronc riders to ever do the dance, and in 1937, during the Texas Centennial, he won “Outstanding Contestant” in the Ft. Worth Rodeo.

His prize for being names best all-around cowboy? He was made the governor’s colonel aide de campe, and was presented this masterpiece Colt by Louisiana Governor R. W. Leche.
