The 1799 North & Cheney is a rare firearm prized among collectors. Modeled after the French Model 1777 Charleville pistol, they were the first official model adopted by the U.S. government, with only 2,000 were manufactured and delivered in two separate contracts. One example is currently housed in the Smithsonian that previously hung in the Oval Office during the Kennedy Administration.
With only as many as 26 thought to survive, RIAC has only offered three in company history: two Second Contract, and one First Contract. This marks the fourth, and this well-documented version is certainly distinct in its condition from its predecessors. We present the 1799 North & Gravel.
