Why You Need a War Horse Mannequin

We never thought we’d be making a video about a horse mannequin, but when you consider the importance of the horse to the war efforts of the Great War the reasons are clear.

War horses were critical to a functioning army during World War I. They transported equipment, carried supplies, help carry communique, moved artillery, resupplied ammunition, and even helped pull ambulances carts to transport the wounded. All this on terrain often unsuitable for use by automobiles.

Not only were the essential to wartime logistics, they also required a logistics system of their own to provide them the feed, water, shoes, tack, and medical care they required. Horses an often overlooked part of the Great War, despite their vital importance to both sides.
