Not only is this early production Hawken rifle wonderfully embellished and in fine condition, it comes with an interesting history, having been formerly owned by riverboat captain George W. Atchison of St. Louis.
The silver laden rifle was previously on display at the Cody Firearms Museum where it described as “The Finest Hawken Rifle” on its display board, which is included in this lot.
