The “Gordon Carbine” (SDOD Delta Colt 723/733) was made famous on the silver screen for the film Black Hawk Down… but the system was actually deployed in a similar configuration!

People have wondered what the short little Gothic Serpent/ Black Hawk Down era CAR15 can do? We put a little bit of our own spin on the deployment of the system, and we do think by sighting the rifle in at 200m / red dot and 400m / iron sights gives the rifle a much more complete coverage of the cartridge’s capabilities. So, two things to consider:

Our Gordon Carbine 733 clone runs a 12.5in barrel, which has very comparable ballistic performance to 14.5 M4 carbines. The 12.5 does not bleed velocity nearly as bad as the 10.5 variety, and the increased dwell time helps the system function much more reliably as a whole.

Furthermore, the iron sight option to this carbine in coupled with the red dot function covers a lot of ground, as Henry demonstrates.
