Almost Famous: The .45 Savage Model 1907

The Savage Model 1907 in .45ACP was the final contender against Colt in the military pistol trials of 1907. For U.S. military collectors these “almost famous” pistols are not only extremely rare, but also represent the very birth of what would become the M1911 pistol.
