Bass Outlaw carried this revolver. Two years later, he was dead.
This Merwin, Hulbert & Co. Pocket Army was confiscated from the Texas Ranger and Deputy U.S. Marshal in El Paso in 1892, with surviving records identifying the revolver by serial number.
Bass Outlaw was killed in a gunfight two years later, setting off a chain of violent confrontations involving John Selman, George Scarborough, John Wesley Hardin, Jeff Milton, and other notorious figures of the Old West.
