It’s well-documented that the light-barrel L8 and Sterling 7.62mm (.308 Win) Lee-Enfield No.4 conversions shot low compared to .303″ to the point they couldn’t be zeored with the normal front sight set, and a lowered datum line rear sight was the solution. This is due to the difference in “jump” with the new cartridge. I wanted to see what would happen if we put some NATO ball and 303-approximate loads through my Sterling conversion and my L39 to see if it was simply the bullet weight and velocity doing it. What did we discover?

Switzerland’s most popular native-English-language guns & shooting channel! Probably. Maybe. I guess. A somewhat off-the-wall and tongue-in-cheek look at firearms, military history and shooting, and a jolly good tilt at the windmills of fuddlore to go with it. And the odd off-topic vid about Switzerland, or whatever happens to take our fancy. We normally launch “in-series” vids on a Friday (early launch on a Wednesday via Patreon and the FB page https://www.facebook.com/Blokeontherange/ ), out-of-series vids launch precisely… whenever.
