One of the rarest Sharps rifles in existence looks mysteriously like a run-of-the-mill U.S. Navy Model 1855 Sharps breechloader. 50 were initially created, with 38 destroyed in the U.S. Navy testing, and others were deactivated and converted back to regular rifles. It is supremely rare and somehow remains in astonishing condition.
