Powerful, durable, and accurate, the Hawken rifle is perhaps the most famous of the classic American muzzleloading long rifles of the 19th century. Mountain men, plainsmen, pioneers, prospectors, trappers, settlers, scouts, and more all put these rifles to good use during a time when survival was not guaranteed.
Half stock examples are rare, but full stock rifles such as this are rarer still. This example, appearing in our August Premier Auction, is one of the finest condition full-stock Hawken rifles we have ever offered.
