The snapping tinder or match lock mechanism was a phenomenon of the late 15th early 16th century. The hero of the battle of Pavia 1525 and battle of Mohács 1526. One of the first guns actually fired with a spring driven mechanism. Its relatively small 10-16 mm calibre ball was made mainly from lead-tin alloy for better armour penetration.
