Coming from late 18th century Russian, during the reign of Catherin the Great, is this beautiful and innovative revolving flintlock.
Based on other signed examples, it is almost certainly the creation of the Tula Arms Factory. Today, the factory is mostly remembered for their military arms, but they once produced luxurious arms for the Imperial family as well as lavish presentation pieces.
Such Russian antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries are seldom seen in the public marketplace, let alone in the United States. This object from the Norman R. Blank Collection is a unique opportunity for one fortunate and discerning collector.
