The Romanian PSL ( Puşcă Semiautomată 7,62 mm cu Lunetă, ) is an overgrown AKM/ RPK patterned to shoot the 7.62x54R as a DMR / Soviet style sniper rifle… and in recent years, it has been touted as a Dragunov (SVD) substitute by some in the Middle East and some on North America… except can it match what the SVD does?
We find out together while shooting it to the 800yard DMR range!
Special mention for @AkOperatorsUnion and their PSL for being able to shoot well. As discussed in this video, I spoke with Rob and as soon as I correlated the heat issues with the PSL, it was clear to us that he was it as a NATO sniper would: slow fire, mindful of heat.
