I bought this American percussion picket rifle a few months ago to repair it for my son. It took a lot of work to make it shoot again. Although it is a poor boys rifle, it tells a lot about the early years of the industrialization of gun making in the United States. Cast steel, gain twist, taper bore, choke bore.
