*The Finnish Veterans Day/ kansallinen veteraanipäivä is April 27th, let us learn about the Finnish soldier in remembrance of the tales told!*

The Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant is nothing like it’s Russian predecessor. Outside of the receiver, the barrel, trigger, stock, and sights have been thoroughly upgraded. When paired with the proper ammunition, the M39 is a true force to be reckoned with, especially in arctic conditions. We take it to 1km away and see what happens.

This episode is dedicated to Staff Sgt. Jouni Kuokkanen and his grandfather Cpl. Esa Kuokkanen who fought in the Continuation War under 1st Lt. Lauri Törni, who later served in the Waffen SS and then the U.S. Army Special Forces.

Ammunition used: hand loaded 7.62x53Rmm Finnish spec cartridges, 200grain D166 Lapua projectiles to match the WW2 Finnish spec cartridges. This load was developed by IV8888
