7.5×53.5 Swiss: is it semismokeless or smokeless?

The Bloke and the Chap go on a double date with a lovely pair of Swiss carbines, and some collectible ammunition.

With some 1951-dated GP11 (7.5×55) in a K31, and some 1909-dated GP90 (7.5×53.5) in an M93 Mannlicher, they put the entirety of the English-language literature on the GP90 cartridge to the test. Who is right? The Bloke, or practically every English-language gun rag and gun book?
