This is one of the easiest and quickest methods. The charge can vary between 24-30 grains of blackpowder. The original civil war cartridges had 24-30 grain charge as well, and a 200-280 grain bullet. The diameter was a bit bigger then the size we use for today’s replicas. The original bullets were between .454-468, depednding on who made them.
