Pietta vs Uberti 1861 Navy .36 showdown – mechanical accuracy duel

I have been playing with the Uberti and Pietta repro of the Colt 1861 Navy .36 revolver, and even if I have been shooting black powder for nearly 3 decades now, I could still learn new things thanks to the Ransom rest. I was searching for the ultimate charge, that delivers the best accuracy. Of course this is only one side of the question, but for me, as a target shooter the most important one. All in all, both are capable of match winning scores, so if we can’t find the center of the target, the reason is not the iron but the flesh behind it. Here is the coverage of the final duel!
