Colt revolvers have been given some brilliant nicknames over the years, but perhaps none as lofty as the Colt Omnipotent. The Model 1878 double action revolvers were in .45 Colt, with 7 1/2-inch barrels, and thanks to Cincinnati, Ohio retailer Benjamin Kittredge & Co., their nickname was acid etched on their barrel.
To have two such rarities in the same room is a privilege, and these excellent examples come to us from the collections of Mr. George S. Lewis Jr. and Mr. Tom Selleck.
