Join us this week as we discuss the brand new adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque’s seminal anti-war novel – All Quiet on the Western Front. We discuss the bold changes and stark approach this new adaptation takes. Directed by Edward Berger the film gives a visceral and utilitarian take on Remarque’s novel sacrificing character development to convey the same anti-war message. Set to be Germany’s submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards it includes some excellent performances from Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Daniel Brühl, Sebastian Hülk, Aaron Hilmer and Edin Hasanovic.
