The Institute of Military Technology is proud to share and document the NASA’s M113. The M113 was used as a Fire and Rescue vehicle for NASA during shuttle launches. The plan was for the astronauts to use a zip line, off of the launch pad, to two waiting M113’s. It is a story rich with US space history and worthy of a James Bond film.
