Update on progress of “Chassepot to FAMAS: French Military Rifles 1866-2016” – we have pages officially coming off the press now! Our photographer James headed up to the printer to get a firsthand view, and took some video of the process. So, the good news is that the final printing has begun. The bad news is that it started behind schedule and will take longer than we anticipated – 10,000 copies is a lot! The printer tells us they will have the book all completed on December 31st, and we expect about 2 weeks to get them all shipped – so it’s looking like early/mid January for book to arrive in your hands. We apologize to anyone who was hoping to have a copy in hand for Christmas; we we hoping for the same!
At Forgotten Weapons I think the most interesting guns out there are the most obscure ones. I try to search out experimental and prototype weapons and show you how they work, in addition to more conventional guns that you may not have heard of before. You’re much more likely to find a video on the Cei Rigotti or Webley-Fosbery here than an AR or Glock. So, do you want to learn about something new today? Then stick around!
