The Thompson is a distinctly American firearm. From the roaring 20s through World War 2, it has made an impact where ever compact firepower is needed.
However, designs didn’t cease with the Tommy Gun. Later designs were made in an attempt to continue providing arms to the U.S. military. Two such rare prototypes will be offered this December at Rock Island Auction Company: one in .30-06 and another in .30 carbine.
It is a supremely rare opportunity for fine and historic arms collectors.
