This week we are very pleased to be joined again by historian Gavin Mortimer as we tackle 1962’s Merrill’s Marauders. Gavin recently joined us for our look at Attack Force Z, and now brings the insight as we discuss the Sam Fuller-directed epic. Telling the tale of General Fank Merrill and the 5307th Composite Unit’s campaign to take Myitkyina in Burma. The film makes an interesting effort to tell the story and does a good job getting across some of the immense hardships the Marauders faced.
