This would be designated the wz.89 &#8220;Onyx&#8221;, but never made it into mass production thanks to the collapse of the Communist government in Poland. The first production batch was made in 1991 using a top cover permanently mounted tot he rear sight block with a pivot like on the ASK-74U. This model (which we are looking at today) only lasted for a single preproduction batch, as it was decided to change the design to a removable top cover with a rear sight mounted to the rear sight block and cantilevered rearward.
