It began as a fairly standard Mauser bolt action, chambered in 7&#215;57 Mauser with a 5-round magazine and a nice double-claw scope mount. What Funk added to this was a .22 caliber rimfire action and barrel inside the front handguard of the Mauser action.<\/p>\n<p>The .22 action is simple, and its barrel is very light &#8211; their addition does little to disturb the balance or handling of the gun.
